Call For Teaching Artists – Summer Arts at the Center!

South Dallas Cultural Center is seeking proposals from teaching artists to draft the curriculum plan for the Summer Arts at the Center Cultural Program. Consultant will develop an outline for the curriculum, set goal and outcomes. Consultant will also devise a plan for recruitment of teaching artist and conduct curriculum orientation. The curriculum must be focused on the Harlem Renaissance. The delivery of the above will begin on March 1, 2019 and end on May 3 at South Dallas Cultural Center. Consultant will be required to conduct orientation of curriculum to teaching artist and SDCC staff.

Our Venue

South Dallas Cultural Center’s mission is to provide instruction and enrichment in the performing, literary, media and visual arts with emphasis on the African contribution to world culture.

Our unique facility is located at the corner of Robert B. Cullum and S. Fitzhugh, next door to Fair Park featuring a dance studio that accommodates up to approximately 60 people.

 

Eligibility

  • Artist submitting proposals must currently live in the DFW or Greater North Texas region.
  • Proposals must contain professional credentials (i.e. resume, CV, or other work history) and work experience in visual and performing arts curriculum development.
