Call for Teaching Artist – Culture Out of School Classes

CALL FOR PROPOSALS – Culture Out of School Classes

South Dallas Cultural Center is seeking proposals from teaching artists to provide curriculum and instruction for 1-2 hour – weekly educational programming for its “Culture out of School” classes.  This is a paid teaching opportunity.

The South Dallas Cultural Center seeks to educate and inspire through the visual, media, literary and performing arts by offering a wide variety of programs inspired by the vibrancy and diversity of the African Diaspora. “Culture out of School” is 6-weeks of class sessions where students engage in learning about African culture to supplement their grade school education. We have offered classes in West African drum and dance, Afro Brazilian martial arts, poetry, guitar lessons, youth acting workshops, and so much more.
