Much like the paintings of artist Honore Daumier’s depictions of the working class society he saw around him, so goes the images of people found in Casteel’s portraits. Jordan CasteelΒ was born in 1989 in Denver, Colorado. She lives and works in New York. Casteel received her MFA from Yale University in 2014.
