A Window In: Kerry James Marshall
Kerry James Marshall is one of the leading voices in modern art. He shares his thoughts around the “mythology” of being an artist and attempts to “debunk” those myths. Marshall’s work reflects, questions, challenges, and affirms notions of blackness in an industry that has, for many years, marginalized artists of color. His images are overtly “black” which creates an emphasis that is undeniable by the viewer.
