CALL FOR PROGRAM PROPOSALS

Proposal Tracks

The South Dallas Cultural Center offers both a Project Track and a Core Group Track to support artists and organizations whose work aligns with the Center’s mission, values, and commitment to serving the South Dallas community.

Project Track
The Project Track is intended for artists and organizations at any stage of their career who are proposing short-term programming that requires limited support from SDCC. Projects should involve 1 to 59 content hours, align with the Center’s mission and target demographics, and demonstrate a clear artistic purpose, community relevance, and need for partnership with SDCC. Accepted projects may receive support through space, limited equipment, marketing and communications assistance, and artist networking opportunities. Strong applications clearly describe the proposed program, the intended audience, the benefit of presenting the project at SDCC, and the specific space, equipment, and promotional needs required for success.

Core Group Track
The Core Group Track is designed for artists and organizations seeking an ongoing presence at the Center through recurring access to space and a sustained commitment to free, community-centered programming. Core Groups are expected to provide at least one free public program per month, work within SDCC scheduling limitations, actively market their programs, participate in Center initiatives when invited, and help steward shared City facilities through responsible and respectful use. Applications are reviewed based on mission alignment, community impact, capacity to deliver consistent programming, responsible use of space, and prior history with SDCC when applicable. Approved Core Groups may receive access to designated spaces, limited equipment, marketing support at SDCC’s discretion, and administrative coordination, though participation does not guarantee financial support. Renewal is based on program delivery, compliance, community engagement outcomes, and stewardship of the facility
